Honored
Knight of Month is Fred Koehler.
Family of the Month is Joyce and Patty Ogden.
If you know of someone who would make a good KC member, encourage them to join.
Congratulations to the two newest councils in the State Family., St. Meinrad Archabbey, and Edinburgh. We are sending seed money to these councils to help them with the startups.
Greeters
Donn reports that he has two volunteers for greeting at the 6:00 PM Mass July 31 and needs two more.
Dues
We have 33 members who haven’t yet paid their yearly dues. Please include the $2.00 Culture of Life assessment from Supreme to your dues for a total of $38.00. The retention committee has been notified and will begin making telephone calls.
Because of the extra assessment from Supreme, next year’s dues notices will be increased $2.00 to $38 for the year. This doesn't give us any more money but does pay for the increase in the assessment. We will have the same amount for our council’s funds.
End of the Month Meals
Your next opportunity to help with this activity is July 31st at the Salvation Army Kitchen. We need drivers willing to deliver the meals to our clients. Usually you’ll be finished by 1:00 sometimes it might take longer. For further information on your volunteering for this pleasant activity of Charity, contact David Craft, 273-5664.
State Hospital Visit
July 31, will be the monthly visit at the State Hospital. It will take place on the ward. If you wish to volunteer for this activity, call Paul Bird at 265-3056, he will be glad to help you by giving further details.
Update
If you have changed your ISPs like I have, your email address has probably changed. Mine has, it is now pixdw@pixdw.net. Please send me an email with your new address. The more people we can reach through email the less our postage per month will be. We have about 35 email addresses that we send to, I’m sure that there are more still out there that we can send to.
You can also read the newsletter on the parish website at http://www.popeace.org/joomla15/index.php. Go to the Organization menu and you will see the Knights of Columbus page.

McGivney Prayer
God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, You called your priest, Father Michael J. McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that you glorify your servant Fr. Michael J. McGivney on earth according to the design of Your Holy Will. Through his Intercession, grant the request I now make (mention your request.) Through Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Continue with and finish the prayer with an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory be.
The website of the McGivney Guild is McGivney Guild. He has been elevated to the title of Venerable so he is one step closer to Sainthood.
